A lot of people don’t know who they are, and as a result they resort to relationships and society to tell them. If a girl, you let men dictate who are by how they treat you, or speak of you. If a guy, you let society shape who are, and feel the need to be hyper masculine all time.
Has it not been considered to ask the person who created you? If you bought a tent, you’d read the instructions to set it up correctly. If you didn’t read the instructions, when the winds blow, and the storms come, the tent will fly away.
God has provided us with his word, the Bible, that tells us who we are, and how to navigate through life. When the tests and trials of life come our way, our tent will stand Firm in the ground.
Don’t look to other people and society to tell you who you are. ‘People’ come and go, ‘society’ to and fros. But the Word of God stands yesterday, today, and forever more.
‘Everyone then who hears these words of mine and does them will be like a wise man who built his house on the rock. And the rain fell, and the floods came, and the winds blew and beat on that house, but it did not fall, because it had been founded on the rock.
And everyone who hears these words of mine and does not do them will be like a foolish man who built his house on the sand. And the rain fell, and the floods came, and the winds blew and beat against that house, and it fell, and great was the fall of it’.
