Some of us will spend our whole life on a boat. On the boat there is security, and what you think is an abundance of food. Our friends and family are on the boat, there’s music and dancing on the boat, your mindset and ways of thinking are also on the boat.
But Jesus is outside the boat, in the midst of the ocean. If you want to walk on water, and discover your true identity in Christ; you must make up your mind to step out the boat, and step out in faith. You have to get out of your comfort zone and trust in God alone.
Don’t look back, or to the right or to the left, because you’ll start to sink.
Don’t be moved by opinions of others, or let doubt hold you back. Keep your eyes fixated on Jesus, and you’ll learn how to walk on water. Even if you do start to sink, God will reach down and rescue you, putting you right back on track.
It’s your choice to either remain on the boat with your old ideologies; or choose to step out in faith, discovering truth and your true identity in Christ Jesus.
Do not turn to the right or to the left; keep your foot from evil. My son, pay attention to my wisdom, turn your ear to my words of insight, that you may maintain discretion and your lips may preserve knowledge.
