Some people spend their lives seeking after chocolate, cake and sweets. These things are satisfying at first, but leave you hungry afterwards. They think that in order to solve this problem they have to seek after more little treats, not realising that overtime they’ll get a belly ache. Junk food often tastes good, but lacks nutritional value.
The things of this world will never fill you up; it’s like chasing a mirage in the desert, the moment you grasp hold of it, it disappears, leaving you empty handed.
Success, relationships, jobs, etc will not sustain you. Instead, eat the word of God and you will be nourished.
‘All mans labour is for his stomach, yet his appetite is never satisfied’.
For whoever wishes to save his life will lose it; but whoever loses his life for My sake will find it.
For what will it profit a man if he gains the whole world and forfeits his soul? Or what will a man give in exchange for his soul?
