Chameleon Christianity.

Chameleons are a type of lizard with the special ability to change colour in any environment that they’re in. Some of us change who we are to fit in with the crowd and be accepted. Does every area of your life glorify God? Don’t be a Chameleon Christian who dims their light and changes their identity to please others or to blend in. Stand firm in your identity of Christ, and be bold in faith. As christians we are called to be set apart, and to be salt and light of the earth, making the world thirsty for Christ.

‘Do not be conformed to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind’.

Romans 12:2
You are the salt of the earth. But if the salt loses its saltiness, how can it be made salty again? It is no longer good for anything, except to be thrown out and trampled underfoot.

You are the light of the world. A town built on a hill cannot be hidden.  Neither do people light a lamp and put it under a bowl. Instead they put it on its stand, and it gives light to everyone in the house. In the same way, let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven.

Mathew 5:13-26

  1. Wow! The Lord Jesus just had me write about this same subject this morning. The blog post is titled “Jekyll and Hyde,” but it includes references to being chameleons. So, thank you for this post. Obviously God is wanting to get out this message today. God bless you! Sue
