Never will I leave you, never will I forsake you.

If you’re needy and clingy;
weary and teary,
exhausted and hopeless,
uneasy and restless,
abandoned and powerless,
hurting and fatherless,
Come.
I’ll pick you up when you fall down;
I’ll adjust your cloak, then straighten your crown.
I’ll rescue you when you’re in trouble,
I’ll give you strength in times of struggle.
I’ll comfort you when in distress,
I’ll carry you when you have no strength.
I’ll give you peace when all hope is lost,
all fears and sorrows left at the cross.
I’ll drench you in unfailing love,
opening gates of heaven from above.
I’ll heal your heart and every wound,
I’m your solid rock that can’t be moved.
I’m your shoulder to cry on, a hand to hold,
I’ll never forsake you, even when old.
From life’s first smile to final rest;
I’ll draw you in, close to my chest.
The LORD is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit.
Psalm 34:18

A father to the fatherless, a defender of widows, is God in his holy dwelling.
Psalm 68:5

Never will I leave you; never will I forsake you.
Hebrews 13: 5
