Struggle gives you stamina
And pressure, perseverance
Tests give you a testimony
And obstacles, endurance
There’s treasure in trouble
And pearls in pain
There’s grit in grief
And resilience in rain
Christian writings, teachings and poetry.
Struggle gives you stamina
And pressure, perseverance
Tests give you a testimony
And obstacles, endurance
There’s treasure in trouble
And pearls in pain
There’s grit in grief
And resilience in rain
Bloom where you are planted
Grow where you’re positioned
Work with what you have
Flourish in all conditions
Be a light in a dark place
Make a way out of no way
Turn your water into wine
And your lemons into lemonade
The grass is always greener
On the other side
Don’t envy your neighbour
Don’t waste your time
Pleasure is momentary
And Comparison, the thief of joy
Be content with your situation
And don’t get stuck in soil
Perception is imperative
And can dictate our demeanour
View your glass as half full
And life will surely be sweeter
The spirit is willing
But the flesh is weak
Don’t play with fire
Beware of the heat
Don’t temp temptation
Be sure to shut all doors
Know your limits
Set boundaries, lest you fall
Don’t put yourself in situations where you know that you will be tempted to fall into sexual sin. Beware of your triggers, and put practical boundaries in place.
If there are tv shows that are causing you to lust, don’t watch it. If listening to certain songs cause you to lust, don’t listen to it.
“Therefore let anyone who thinks that he stands take heed lest he fall” (1 Corinthians 10:12).
You can lead a horse to water,
but you can’t force it to drink.
You can teach an old dog a new trick,
but cannot force it to think.
If you plant a seed,
you need water to make it grow.
You can’t help those who don’t want to be helped,
a person can only reap what they sow.
As Christians, we cannot force people to come to the faith. It’s our job to plant seeds, and God’s job to send rain.
Charm is deceptive
And beauty is fleeting
Chemistry is common
And Attraction, misleading
Looks fade
And charisma perishes
Sparks dwindle
And personality has blemishes
Circumstances change
And needs adjust
Build relationships on love
And not on lust
You are the head and not the tail,
walk in strength and not in wails.
You’re above and not beneath,
keep the devil below your feet.
You are Chosen and not forsaken,
you are blessed and highly favoured.
You are fearfully and wonderfully made,
you’re a child who knows God’s name.
Ancient of Days
Splendid in all ways
You’re the Author and Finisher
Creator of all things
Ancient of Days
You are mighty to save
You’ve defeated death
You have conquered the grave
Ancient of Days
You will forever reign
You will never be shaken
You will never be tamed
Ancient of Days
You have the final say
You’re the Alpha and Omega
You’re the name above all names
Seek ye first the kingdom,
and all things will be added to you.
Make God your first priority,
and walk in all His statutes.
Keep digging for treasure,
and you’ll surely find gold.
Trust in the Lord,
don’t look back to the world.
The first shall be the last
And the last shall be the first
Those hungry will be fed
those thirsty will not thirst
The first shall be the last
And the last shall be the first
Those lost will be found
Those hurting will not hurt
The first shall be the last
And the last shall be the first
Those weeping will be comforted
Those drowning will stay afloat
The first shall be the last
And the last shall be the first
Those crucified will be resurrected
Those impoverished will be reimbursed
The first shall be the last
And the last shall be the first
Those rejected will be accepted
Those despised will be held close
